Empowering individuals and families through connection and wellbeing.

I am Costanza Ravanelli, a registered psychologist with over 13 years of experience. My practice is built on compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to evidence-based psychological support across different life stages.

Experience in Argentina

I began my career in Argentina, working in private practice with young people and adults. Alongside this, I trained and worked in organisational psychology, supporting workplaces with recruitment, role alignment, and staff wellbeing.

This early experience shaped my interest in identity, relationships, and the emotional impact of life and work transitions—areas that continue to guide my work today.

Transition to Australia

Since moving to Australia, Iiving away from my home country, I understand how parenthood can feel more complex when you’re far from familiar culture, family, and support networks. This perspective shapes my work with parents across different stages—particularly the emotional shifts of matrescence and patrescence, as well as experiences of isolation, identity changes, and the search for connection and stability.

Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked—and continue to work—within community and non-profit settings, supporting families affected by a loved one’s alcohol or drug use, problem gambling, and related mental health challenges. My work includes individual counselling, group programs, and psychoeducation, always with an awareness of how deeply these experiences impact the whole family system.

Clinical Approach

My approach is integrative, evidence-based, and trauma-informed. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, allowing us to work both practically and in depth.

I work collaboratively, tailoring therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and life context. Together, we can explore challenges such as emotional regulation, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, while building insight and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.

My work is also relational and developmentally informed, recognising that our experiences are shaped within relationships, family systems, and broader social contexts. I take a holistic view of wellbeing, considering the connection between mind, body, relationships, and environment.

I work primarily with adults and young adults, with a strong interest in women’s mental health and the transition into parenthood. As a mother, I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding to this space. Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and insightful, with a grounded sense of humour.
